Marina Bay Sands kicked off its inaugural Epicurean Market today, offering a celebration of food, wine and spirits from 25 to 27 January 2013. Spanning three halls at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre. While some parts of it looks more like a trade exhibition than food carnival, the three-day culinary event does have highlights worth exploring.
One of the best sampler deals there? The S$10 grilled Japanese wagyu platter at gourmet food distributor Giorgio Ferrari, featuring supremely tender prized beef from Iwate and Saga. You will swoon.
Other MBS eateries are also participating in the gourmet event. These include Au Chocolat, Caffe B, Ku De Ta, Jin Shan, Punjab Grill and Todai. More than 20 wine distributors such as Alfa International, Wine Culture, Beam Global, Auric Pacific, Top Wines, Excaliber Trading, Monopole, Hermitage, J&D Burleigh, Enoteca, Kot Selections, Intervino, Giorgio Ferrari, Rubicon Reserve Wines, and Magma German Wines, will be present.
Almost a quarter of the event hall space is taken up by Market Place, showcasing wines and gourmet produce like cheeses, cured meats, oysters and seafood.
A one-day access pass costs S$59 (includes S$30 vouchers), and a three-day pass costs S$95 (includes S$30 vouchers and access to VIP Lounge). Tickets are available from SISTIC or the Marina Bay Sands box offices, hotline (+65 6688-8826) and website (www.marinabaysands.com).
