We always say, “What a small world!” Anyone in the world is separated by someone else in six degrees or less. Everyone is on average approximately six steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person on Earth. So what about food? Is it possible to link a hamburger to green tea? Or escargots to black pudding? Makansutra lists down its own six degrees of food separation. To our dear readers, which foods do you think have six degrees of separation? Although it originated from Japan, Häagen-Dazs and Baskin Robbins also carry the flavour.
Ginseng Chicken and Escargots
Ginseng Chicken -> The Korean variation of Ginseng Chicken (Samgyetang) was originally served in summer to replace nutrients lost with heat -> Fruits like applies, strawberries and vegetables like lettuce, cucumber are best for hot summer days -> Farmed snails are fed vegetables like lettuce and cucumbers -> Escargots are the most popular farmed snail species, also known as Roman snail and Burgundy snail.
