Beerfest in Asia is back again!

By Sheere Ng - Monday, May 28, 2012

Beerfest Asia returns for its fourth year and will offer beer enthusiasts over 350 labels of beer from Asia and the rest of the world.

The offerings are 50 more as compared to previous years and they hail from big beers brands in Belgium, Germany and the United States.

Among the highlights is local microbrewery, Jungle Beer, who will be exhibiting for the first time. They use tropical fruits and flowers like pink guava and rose to create their distinctive beer flavours.

The event will also feature even more bands as compared to previous Beerfest Asia festivals. They will pay tribute to more than ten iconic bands and artists.

Two top international tribute bands – the all-female US AC/DC tribute band, Hell’s Belles and Australia’s All Star Super Group covering hits from Oasis, Dire Straits, David Bowie, Elton John and ZZ Top – will be performing as well as a whole host of Australian tribute bands and top Singapore bands playing a variety of genres ranging from Chicago blues, funk and rock.

Beerfest Asia’s comedy tent will include A-list international comedy acts from Australia and the United Kingdom and for the first time, The Sons of Singapore, a local comedy trio comprised of three of Singapore’s freshest young comic stars in the making, will be making their debut.

Revelers can tuck into Oktoberfest-like grub like German sausages, nachos and meatballs from the outdoor food stalls.

The event takes place from 7th to 10th June, at the Marina Promenade (the F1 tracks behind the Singapore Flyer) and tickets start from $15 and are now on sale at SISTIC.

The fourth installation of the Beerfest Asia will be the biggest ever.
