Michelin Star Chef at the Song of India

As hosting restaurant for World Gourmet Summit 2012, The Song of India presents Michelin Star Chef Vikas Khanna, who is a restaurateur, food writer, filmmaker, humanitarian and the host of the TV Show Master Chef India. Currently based in New York, he grew up in Amritsar,Punjab, India and was influenced by his grandmother’s culinary skills and large family feasts. He is the executive chef of Junoon Restaurant in the Big Apple and was ranked in the top 50 of People’s Magazine Sexiest Man Alive 2011.

The Song of India will be running a week-long promotion featuring cusine by Chef Vikas Khanna. Guests will be treated to Peri Peri Prawns (seared tiger prawns with garlic butter and crustacean curry emulsion with roasted grape tomatoes), Venision Gushtaba (minced venison in earthy Kashmiri styled gravy) for the dinner, non-vegetarian menu. The dinner vegetarian menu includes Nadra Kofte (dumplings of Kashmiri lotus root and homemade Indian cheese in onion gravy and fenugreek leaves).

 

Chef Vikas’ award-winning dishes will be available for lunch and dinner from 27th April 2012 to 1st May 2012. A four-course lunch is priced at $48++ per pax, six-course dinner is priced at $98++ per pax ( 6pm-8pm), $118++ per pax (8.30pm onwards).
